2024 – Tanzanian State Visit to Norway

Jewels

Day 1 – Arrival

When Their Majesties welcomed the President of Tanzania to their home the Queen wore a white day dress which she had combined with a few modern items of jewellery. Around her neck she wore a golden thick necklace and gold earrings. Fittingly when receiving a Head of State from Africa the Queen also wore a brooch in the shape of the African continent pinned to her dress. No information has been found so far as to the origins of this brooch, but it definitely looks like a modern piece and could perhaps be a gift from an African nation during a visit or audience. In addition Her Majesty was seen wearing a thin tennis bracelet (in Diamonds?) around her right wrist and several gold bangles around her left wrist together with a rather large modern (Smart?) watch.

Judging from the available photographs the Crown Princess wore very little jewellery for the welcoming ceremony. It appears that she is wearing dark grey (black?) Pearl studs and the excellent blog Ufonomore identified one of her rings to be a Clash de Cartier small ring. In fact, the blog Ufonomore has a lot more details on the clothes and accessories worn by both ladies.

Day 2 – During the day

When the Queen attended the luncheon hosted by the Norwegian Prime Minister she was seen wearing blue. According to the few photographs available online it looks like Her Majesty wore very discreet jewels; a pair of small Sapphire (or at least a blue gem) earrings and perhaps also a necklace though it has not been able to verify which one.

The Crown Princess was dressed in a much darker colour compared to the Queen. With this it seems like she was wearing the necklace she had been gifted the day before by the Tanzanian president.

Again, more details on what was worn can be found on the excellent Ufonomore blog.
